The development of a former brownfield site in Portsmouth to provide 7 new dwellings for private sale.

This project transformed a former brownfield site of light industrial use in a busy and densely populated area of Portsmouth.  The development provided 4 x semi-detached three-storey houses and 3 x detached two-storey houses,.  Works also included associated access ways, waste and recycling storage and cycle storage.

The houses were designed to exceed Building Regulation Part L 2013 standards and sustainability is further addressed with the extensive use of PV panels and SIPS. 

Visually, the scale and density of the houses accord well with the surrounding buildings and the vibrant design, (using zinc cladding and contrasting tones of brickwork), gives the development its own distinct identity and distinguishes it from its neighbours.

As well as private rear gardens for all the houses, soft landscaping and lighting have been incorporated around the access road and communal grounds providing increased security for residents and a much improved streetscape for the entrance on Highland Road.
