Linden Education Centre Aldershot, Hampshire
Procured under Hampshire County Council’s Intermediate Contractors Framework, the Linden Education Centre required the conversion and extension of an existing Victorian school building, creating teaching accommodation for 92 secondary-aged pupils who are unable to attend mainstream school for emotional or behavioural reasons.
At September 2015 this was the largest value project to come from this Framework. We were appointed to the 4-year Framework in the spring of 2015 and have since gone on to secure further school and college projects based on our success at Linden.

Engineer: Hampshire CC
The existing school building is 861m2 and was the subject of extensive internal alterations. The new 2-storey extension added 742m2 to the floor area. Both buildings, the new and the old, house classrooms and specialist teaching and staff rooms.
The extension was constructed using a cross laminated timber system clad in facing brickwork with aluminium and timber composite windows. The pitched roofs were finished with plain tiles.
