A development of 10 high-specification two/three-bedroom semi-detached houses for private sale by Runnymede Borough Council.

These semi-detached houses, (6 x three-bedroom and 4 x two-bedroom), are of traditional construction with cavity walls, beam and block ground floors and timber upper floors. All ground floor areas are fully wheelchair-accessible and the homes have achieved Secured by Design gold standard.
Technical challenges included the design of a surface water drainage strategy to handle all water at source and remove the need for mechanical ventilation within the properties. This was achieved using a range of sustainable drainage techniques including interconnecting private soakaways and attenuation tanks and a fully-permeable highway system.
