The construction of a new two-storey, double-pitched clubhouse of 845m2 (GIA) adjacent to the River Adur in Shoreham for Sussex Yacht Club. The new building will provide changing facilities, committee room, dining room/bar/lounge area, conference and training rooms.
The new clubhouse will be built closer to the river front on a 1.4m high flood protection plinth, and the old clubhouse footprint will be absorbed into the continuation of the Shoreham flood defence works.
Ancillary works will include specialist substructure for the infilling of the existing slipway, alterations and improvements to vehicular access, parking for 53 cars, bicycle parking, and hard and soft landscaping. Completion is due in May 2020.
