The construction of a new two-storey, double-pitched clubhouse of 845m2 (GIA) adjacent to the River Adur in Shoreham for Sussex Yacht Club. The new building provides changing facilities, committee room, dining room/bar/lounge area, conference and training rooms.
The new clubhouse has been built closer to the river front on a 1.4m high flood protection plinth, and the old clubhouse footprint has been absorbed into the continuation of the Shoreham flood defence works.
Ancillary works have included specialist substructure for the infilling of the existing slipway, alterations and improvements to vehicular access, parking for 53 cars, bicycle parking, and hard and soft landscaping.
