The current outdated sheltered accommodation will be demolished and replaced by this new development offering 1 x three-storey block of two-bedroom flats, 1 x terrace of 4 x two-bedroom houses and 2 x demi-detached, three-bedroom houses. Landscaped parking for 35 cars will be provided as will secure cycle storage for the flats.
Space and water heating are provided to the flats by a central CHP boiler, supplemented by PV panels, providing a significant improvement on Building Regulations requirements. The thermal efficiency of the buildings has been substantially uphraded, including the installation of MVHR to all units, specialised insulation to walls, roofs and floors, and triple glazing throughout.
Externally, landscaping will retain good quality mature trees, with additional new planting to enhance the environment and biodiversity, and surface water will be discharged via a deep bore soakaway.
