Project Brief

Radian appointed W. Stirland with the design and build of nine flats and five houses in West Crescent, Windsor.

The houses are a mixture of semi’s and detached with the flats in a 3-storey building.

Project Team

Architect:  Harrington Design and Bloomfield Architects
Engineer:   Gyoury Self LLP
Client Agent:   Welling Partnership

Project Description

The 14 new homes have been built by W Stirland for Radian, who are Windsor & District's social housing landlords. They occupy a site bordered by West Crescent and Hanover Way, off Dedworth Road in Windsor, with their own own dedicated access road and parking spaces.

Initial concern was raised about the loss of green space. However, the new development saw extensive re-landscaping of the nearby communal gardens, the replacement and replanting of fruit trees and the replacement of a large number of garden sheds offering visual and practical improvement on those that existed prior.
