West Lavant Barns comprises 3 three-bedroom and 1 four-bedroom high quality barn conversions in the hamlet of West Lavant, north of Chichester. In addition there are four cottages for holiday lets.
The barns date from the early part of the 19th century and until recently were used as farm buildings. Barn one was originally a cart shed while barns two and three were used for threshing and drying grain. Barn four was the granary with the top floor used for the storage of grain and the ground floor for carthorses. The harness room was located at the front of the barn.
Each property has been subject to extensive refurbishment to bring the structures up to current structural and environmental performance criteria including full insulation and new roofs. The conversions provide spacious living accommodation, high quality hardwood joinery, new kitchens and bathrooms and covered parking. All enjoy excellent views of the surrounding countryside.
